E-Rickshaws and Bikes Make Air Fresher in Pakistan

Pakistan is launching newly developed electric motorcycles and rickshaws, conforming to its ‘Green Pakistan’ campaign, to protect the environment against pollution and reduce carbon emissions.

“Electric motorcycles and rickshaws are the future of the country’s transportation system,” says Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, during his visit to the Pakistan Council for Renewable Energy Technologies.

In 2018, the nation’s Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the ‘Green Pakistan’ campaign in order to tackle climate change more efficiently. Constructing eco-friendly buildings, banning single-use plastic bags, providing clean drinking water and launching e-vehicles are but a few of Pakistan’s actions toward a greener future.
