The year 2023 is now the safest in the history of commercial aviation, with no large turbofan-powered aircraft involved in any major fatal accidents.
The aerospace industry is improving constantly, learning from past accidents and incidents, striving to become safer.
According to world-leading aviation consultancy To70, 2023 also saw a record-low fatality rate regarding major air accidents. Only two of more than 50 safety emergencies onboard commercial aircraft led to loss-of-life incidents.
