Angora fur will no longer be part of the luxury fashion house, Armani, as the Italian high-end label decided to exclude it from its 2022-2023 autumn/winter collection and onwards.
“People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is celebrating Armani’s decision to extend their no-fur policy to include Angora, and encourages all designers still using it to get with the times,” says Mimi Bekhechi, Vice-President of International Programmes at PETA, the largest animal rights organization.
In 2016, Armani Group banned other types of fur in favor of animal-free designs which include vegan alternatives to leather and fur. Angora fur is already banned from fashion companies such as Gucci, Calvin Klein, Valentino, Diane von Furstenberg, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, and Stella McCartney.
