Building the Most Powerful AI Supercomputer

A technology company and an artificial intelligence (AI) startup are teaming up to build a powerful AI supercomputer in Italy, making the project Europe’s most extensive AI computer deployment.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that this agreement between both firms is part of a broader initiative revealed during a bilateral summit in February. During this summit, the UAE committed to investing USD 40 billion in Italy.

United Arab Emirates-based technology company G42 and Italian AI startup iGenius will build the AI data centre Colosseum in southern Italy over five years. The project is backed by $1 billion and employs Nvidia technology.
