How Ashton Kutcher makes the world better: Saving child sex slaves

Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher helped to save more than one hundred teenagers from sex traffickers – through AI!

An algorism developed by his foundation tracks down slave traders and users of child porn on the dark net. In a recent CBS-interview, Kutcher could hardly hold back his tears and said: “I have a hard time talking about this issue without being emotional.”

The movie actor and TV star (“Two and a Half Men”) is an expert on digital technologies and a well-known investor in Silicon Valley.

When still a married couple, Demi Moore and Kutcher created Thorn – a foundation to fight sex trafficking and child exploitation. Thorn’s key weapon is called “Spotlight”. It’s a software based on artificial intelligence (AI) that screens social media and websites, compiles data and identifies children at risk. Results are shared with the police.

More than 6000 children have been identified as victims and numerous criminals have been prosecuted. More than one hundred children and youths have been rescued from sex traffickers.
