Going on a Job Interview? Get a Tie and a Briefcase with Your Library Card!

The New York Public Library in the United States is lending interview attire to their members to help applicants have one less thing to worry about in their job hunt.

Members can borrow ties, handbags and briefcases for three weeks using their library cards, as part of a program funded through the New York Public Library Innovation Project – an initiative that supports ideas from the library’s employees across 88 centers in New York City.

Through the program, members also have access to career resources and workshops for teenagers to learn how to prepare a resumé, find job listings and apply for jobs.
