Paid family leaves have been implemented and reformed over the past few years in all parts of the world, granting parents – mothers and fathers alike – more rights to care for their children, a sign of progress towards gender equality.
Morocco’s labor law has been rectified to increase the paid paternity leave as part of a social pact aimed at improving the working class conditions, a decision most welcomed by national labor unions.
France has extended the paid paternity leave, doubling it from 14 to 28 days. This requirement will be in effect next July and will also apply to same-sex couples.
