Victory for Animals: World-Famous Fashion Magazine Goes Fur-Free

One of the world’s most influential fashion voices has gone fur-free. Vogue and its parent company Condé Nast have announced they will no longer use new animal fur in any advertising or editorial content — a significant step forward for ethical fashion.

Over a nine-month campaign, activists held more than 100 protests worldwide to demand a fur-free Vogue.

The change follows persistent efforts by the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT) and growing consumer demand for cruelty-free alternatives. Vogue’s decision aligns the iconic brand with a new generation of designers and readers embracing compassion and sustainability in fashion. Industry experts say this move could inspire a broader shift across global media and luxury brands toward a truly animal-friendly future.
