World Leader in the Solar Market Sets an Example for Renewable Energy

China is paving the way in deploying renewable energy sources within the country.

“China is the world’s largest solar market, and it’s going to continue to be that way through 2030,” says Bloomberg NEF’s lead solar analyst, Jenny Chase.

Lower costs and greater demand have led to impressive expansions within China’s renewable energy fleet – exceeding even the previously-predicted rate of the renewable energy transition within the country. Thanks to China, the world is set to have 5,300 gigawatts of solar energy capacity by 2030 – the volume required to reach global net-zero targets.
