Captain Tom Moore, a 99-year-old British Veteran, wanted to collect 1,000 GBP (1,250 USD) to support the National Health System in the fight against Coronavirus. As of today, he received 23 million GBP (28 million USD) in donations.
He promised to walk 100 rounds of about 25 meters in his garden on a walker “slow and steady”, and wanted to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses”, he tells the BBC.
After the huge success he is considering to walk another 100 rounds.
