In Grief Over Son’s Death, Dad Helps Others to Get Home in Crisis

Following the death of his son in Dubai, UAE, T.N. Krishnakumar has flown home fellow Indian expats who wished to return to their home country in the midst of the pandemic.

“Sometimes we seek answers as to why this tragedy happened to us,” says Krishnakumar, whose son died in a car crash in December 2019. “Then we think about others suffering more than us. I can only find some peace by helping others.”

As a means to overcome his grief, Krishnakumar has sponsored 61 repatriation tickets for Indians in distress after the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
