“On Your Bikes” for Brits to Experience 1,300 Kilometers of Nature and Adventure

A new 1,300-kilometer trail has opened in the United Kingdom, linking England and Scotland and fulfilling cyclists’ demands for better access to the countryside.

The Great North Trail, launched by Cycling UK, passes through some of the most famous beauty spots in the country via off-road routes suitable for mountain bikers as well as family riders, promoting the more eco-friendly choice of biking in lieu of driving.

Cycling UK explains that the trails would bring cyclists health and economic benefits, with Head of Campaigns Duncan Dollimore adding, “Off-road trails can be ideal for families to ride safely, away from traffic and city pollution.”
