Big Plans by Prince William: “The Most Prestigious Environmental Prize in History”

To mark the beginning of the new decade, Prince Wiliiam of England announced the creation of “the most prestigious environmental prize in history”: The Earthshot Prize.

Five winners will be selected each year for the next ten years, receiving a multi-million-dollar prize in return for finding and contributing to new ideas on how to repair the declining climate and make our world more sustainable.

“People can achieve great things. The next ten years presents us with one of our greatest tests – a decade of action to repair the Earth,” says the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince William.

The competition is expected to award 50 promising projects by 2030.
