Seniors Fight Isolation By Moving Back Home (or to Tiny Houses!)

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, businesses across the United States have been adapting to the increasing home care needs to help seniors fight the loneliness and isolation we’ve been seeing so much of in the past year.

Homecare solutions help able seniors stay close to their families in these special times of need, and experts predict that agencies will implement new technologies and stronger solutions to cater to the ever-increasing demand for home care and “hospital-at-home” programs.

“The desire for seniors to age in their home has increased even more since the pandemic, and the best news is that the health care system is supporting that as well,” says Peter Ross, CEO and co-founder of Senior Helpers. “2021 offers a bright future for those agencies that adapt to a value-based care environment.

Another strategy being implemented to curb loneliness is the offering of more tiny homes, where seniors can keep their independence while allowing “caregivers to operate more easily because the seniors are aggregated more so than they are in a traditional neighborhood home”, according to J.J. Sorrenti, CEO of homecare company Best Life Brands.
