Warren Buffett has donated another $6 billion in shares, marking his largest annual donation since he began giving away his fortune nearly two decades ago.
Buffett has a net worth of $152 billion, making him the world’s fifth richest man before his most recent donation, according to Forbes magazine. Now 94, he began giving away his fortune nearly two decades ago.
Buffett has now given well over $60 billion to charity and has designated 99.5% of his remaining fortune to a charitable trust that his children will oversee after his death. His three children will have a decade to decide unanimously where the money goes. His children are already involved in various foundations and nonprofits that support early childhood education, global hunger, human trafficking, mitigating conflicts, indigenous communities, and marginalised girls and women.
