Twibber Sells Solar Water Purifiers, Gives Education for Free

As an entrepreneur dealing with energy solutions, I’ve had the privilege of working in off-grid parts of the world. In 2017, I ended up in remote parts of Kenya. Together with my young team, we’ve offered a lot of gratuitous teaching, technical courses, solar energy workshops and more to kids and villagers.

There, access to hygienic drinking water is one of the greatest resources badly affected by climate change impacts. But our Berlin team has tried to solve a greater water-related challenge.

My company Boreal Light, which manufactures affordable solar water desalination systems, has introduced a village prosperity plan where the supply of hygienic and affordable drinking water is just one part of the solution.

The same system provides irrigation delivery, fish farm and sanitation water. Our systems are in Kenya, Somalia and Yemen. We are expanding to Madagascar and South Africa this year. Our technology offers underprivileged communities the basis for having a healthy community and increased food security.
