Punjabis See Himalayas for First Time in 30 Years, as Corona Lockdown Clears the Air

In the past days people in Punjab, the Indian state bordering the Himalayas, couldn’t believe their eyes: For the first time in 30 years they could see the mountain range from their rooftops.

Many saw the peaks for the first time in their life.

Air pollution across India has fallen drastically, as industry and traffic have been halted to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
