From the Northern Lights to Dog Sledding – This City Brings Its Biggest Events to Your Home

While some of Fairbanks, Alaska’s biggest attractions have not been accessible to most due to the pandemic, the U.S. city has decided to digitize the events on their website for those feeling nostalgic to enjoy from their couch.

This year’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and the Northern Lights have been made accessible on YouTube as well as on the Explore Fairbanks website – not just as standard videos, but as 360-degree “tours”!

Travel and Leisure reporter Andrea Romano says the dogsled race, filmed from the musher’s perspective, is especially thrilling to watch, taking the viewer on a trip along a snowy forest.
