Environment FranceE-Vehicles Are Selling Fast in This Country
Plugin vehicles have become increasingly popular in France, and the Tesla Model 3 electric car is the model most sold in February 2022, ranking the 9th best-selling car of any class across the country.
A whopping 2,717 Tesla Model 3 were registered in February of this year, occupying the highest step of the podium. The Peugeot 3008 plugin hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) placed second and Darcia Spring, third.
In February, a total of 23,138 plugin vehicles have been registered – 13,453 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and 9,685 PHEVs – representing 20% of France’s new car sales. BEVs experienced an impressive 60% jump in year-over-year growth. Tesla is expected to keep its leadership position, since its delivery rate remains high.
