Environment ArgentinaSchools Add “Environment” to Their Curriculum
With the proposition of a law requiring that comprehensive environmental education be taught in all schools, at all levels, Argentina is positioning itself as a world leader in humanity’s fight against climate change.
Under this law, environmental education would become its own area of study, and future leaders would learn to better protect and respect the Earth, and to leave a healthier planet to the generations following them.
Still in its bill phase, the promotion of climate literacy has the support of Argentinian President Fernández, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. In 2019, Italy added climate change studies to all its schools, putting itself on the list of countries that promote environmental education.
