Health GermanyCorona: Germany Invests 750 Million Euros towards Developing Vaccine
Germany’s federal government is investing 750 million euros (around 814 million US dollars) towards the research, development and distribution of a coronavirus vaccine.
According to the nation’s federal research minister, Anja Karliczek, a key goal of the program is to increase the number of participants in vaccine-related studies, with medical staff being able to participate in early tests on a voluntary basis.
Germany has additionally pledged the equivalent of around 570 million dollars in a global alliance to develop a coronavirus vaccine, which has overall raised more than 8 billion dollars.
