No Space in Your Mosque? Come Pray With Us, Christians Tell Muslims

A church in Berlin, Germany hosted the Friday Muslim prayers at the end of Ramadan for the worshipers who couldn’t attend their mosque due to social distancing measures that need to be adhered to during religious services.

“It is a great sign and it brings joy in Ramadan and joy amid this crisis,” says the imam of the Dar Assalam mosque in Neukölln, Berlin, which could only fit a fraction of its crowd in its space in order to respect the 1.5m distancing measures. “This pandemic has made us a community. Crises bring people get together.”

The Martha Lutheran church in the Kreuzberg district not only offered to help, but even the church’s pastor took part in the service!
