New Fund at New York Stock Exchange Puts Money into Animal and Earth Friendly Stocks

A new exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the New York Stock Exchange is going vegan, including only companies that are animal, human and earth friendly to promote corporate responsibility.

Trading under the name U.S. Vegan Climate ETF (VEGN), the investment fund is similar to hundreds of others considering environmental, social or governance factors but is one step above all others in its added mission: going animal cruelty-free.

Claire Smith, Switzerland-based chief executive of VEGN’s creator, Beyond Investing, says that the ETF criteria means excluding 43% of the top 500 companies, who are not considered animal-friendly.
