Environment The WorldOur Planets Are Putting on an Ultra-Rare “Show”!
In a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event, seven planets will line up in what is being called a “planetary parade.”
On February 28, 2025, the planetary parade will be at its peak when seven planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune – align in a rare formation, visible from various locations on Earth.
This unique planetary parade will be visible for about a month, starting in late January and going through late February. Opportunities to see the planetary alignment with the naked eye depend primarily on physical location and local weather conditions. Indeed, the planets will be visible to the naked eye with the right conditions except for Neptune and Uranus, which require binoculars or a telescope. It should be noted that the configuration of the planets will make it appear from Earth as if they are in, more or less, a straight line, but in reality, the planets will not be in “total” alignment. The next time a visual alignment of this sort will happen is 2492.
