Cheaper and Greener Power in London for the People in Need

A new renewable energy company has been launched in London, England to fight fuel poverty as well as climate change, providing the community with affordable, low-carbon electricity.

The capital city’s mayor’s office highlights that one in ten Londoners cannot afford to pay off their energy bills. London Power, launched by the mayor, aims to end this issue with more competitive pricing. Profits will go to community projects aimed at meeting London’s goal of becoming carbon neutral in the next three decades.

In 2019, Britain – the first G7 country to aim for net-zero emissions by 2050 – produced more electricity from zero-carbon sources than from fossil fuels for the first time.
