Global Leader in Green Energy Transition

India is positioning itself as a frontrunner in the global renewable energy market and is soon expected to reach 174 GW of total energy capacity, accounting for 37 percent of the country’s energy supply.

Thanks to the decreasing cost of solar and wind energy, India has been able to expand its renewable energy sectors at a faster rate than previously predicted. The effects of these changes are already being seen: the country’s air quality is better and there has been a significant decrease in greenhouse gas emissions.

India had made impressive moves, particularly with solar energy, boasting both the world’s largest floating solar power plant and the world’s largest solar park. India’s government is playing a proactive role in the country’s green transition, and significant foreign investments from various countries, including Singapore, the Netherlands, and Japan, have already been made.
