As Years Go By, Fewer and Fewer Teenagers Are Being Bullied

A data report has revealed a steady decrease in bullying among teenagers in the United States over the years, proving the efficacy of anti-bullying initiatives.

The data from the US Department of Education shows the percentage of bullying among students between 12 and 18 years of age drop by one third in 2015 in comparison with 2007.

The results also show that more teenagers are talking more openly to their parents or an adult about bullying. The data shows that initiatives – from educational campaigns to social media outreach – has led to a clearer recognition of bullying and its negative effects, making it significantly less tolerable in schools and among kids who are now less afraid to call it out.
