Endangered Species Show Face Again (Thank You, Conservationists!)

Various endangered species have recently been spotted in North China’s Hebei province thanks to conservation efforts, experts say.

“The frequent appearance of the leopard indicates that the ecosystem is improving, with stable biodiversity,” says Li Jianping, deputy director of the management center of the Tuoliang National Nature Reserve.

Planting more trees and improving the water quality in the area have all contributed to overall better habitats for a myriad of species, from birds fish, foxes, and deer, among others. Surveys, cameras, and drones will be used in the coming years to continue to monitor wildlife and aid in biodiversity conservation.
